Can I use the same set of prints to apply for multiple licenses or submit for checks?

No. You may NOT share your fingerprints with multiple agencies or use them to apply for multiple licenses.  You must be fingerprinted separately each time you submit your prints.

What happens if my prints were rejected by the FBI or Michigan State Police?
Fingerprint images captured on a livescan device may be rejected by the FBI or Michigan State Police for a variety of reasons.  In most cases rejections occur because the applicant has poor prints to begin with, or fingerprints were captured but did not contain enough “data” for an acceptance by the State’s or FBI’s AFIS system.

Rejections due to low or poor quality of the fingerprints requires the applicant to be fingerprinted a second time at no cost to the agency or applicant.

If my prints were rejected for poor quality, how long do I have to get reprinted at no cost?
You MUST return within 10 days of the first rejection to the fingerprinting location to be fingerprinted again at no cost.  If you do not return within 10 days to be fingerprinted again, you risk having to re-register, re-pay and be fingerprinted again.

My prints were rejected because my registration information had an error or mistake on it, what do i do?
Rejections due to the applicant’s registration not being completed correctly will result in the applicant having to be re-registered. The agency or applicant will be required to make payment again.
